Hands-on experience with the Fujifilm X-T3 plus our range of lenses
There are few sights in nature more compelling than a majestic bird of prey on the wing. In this full-day wildlife photography workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to learn the necessary skills to capture stunning images of owls, hawks, falcons and eagles as they perform for the falconers in a beautiful natural setting. With Fujifilm X-Photographer Chris Weston and the new Fujifilm X-T3.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
The day comprises two main sessions: in the morning, a short tutorial in how to capture stunning portraits of birds is followed by time in the field photographing static poses in natural surroundings. After lunch, a second tutorial in how to capture pin-sharp images of birds in flight is followed by two hours of action photography, with the birds flying point-to-point and in free-flight.
During the shoot, your photographic guide, professional wildlife photographer and Fujifilm X-
Photographer Chris Weston, will encourage you to experiment with the camera to get interesting and unusual compositions, as well as provide hands-on guidance to ensure you go home with the images you came to get. A Fujifilm representative will also be joining us with a selection of XF lenses for you to try out and will provide expert technical advice.

YOUR COURSE LEADER: CHRIS WESTON
Chris Weston became a professional wildlife photographer in 2001 in order to follow his passion for what he describes as “the extraordinary behavior of wildlife”. His contemporary approach to photography led to Amateur Photographer magazine describing him as “One of the most dynamic wildlife photographers working today.”
He specializes in photographing mammals and endangered species and is renowned for his ability to connect with wildlife and reveal the often hidden personalities of his subjects. His work is published globally, with clients including the BBC, ITV, The Daily Telegraph, The Independent, The Guardian, and National Geographic. Recently, his ‘underground’ image of a galloping zebra was selected by The Sunday Times magazine for its feature titled “The Year’s Best Animal Photographs”.
Chris’s work is driven by conservation. His iconic book Animals on the Edge: Reporting from the Frontline of Extinction, written in conjunction with the IUCN, has been described as “The most up-to-date visual survey of our world’s rare and endangered species.” And he has been named by Outdoor Photography magazine as one of the world’s “40 Most Influential” wildlife photographers.
