Shooting in a professional studio set up in Glasgow, with a professional model, Make up artist/ Hairstylist, using the GFX 50S medium format camera. This workshop is designed to help you understand and follow a creative brief/concept, improve your beauty/portrait lighting skills and learn camera settings and shooting techniques, including tethered shooting to Capture One Pro, to achieve that commercial looking image.
YOUR COURSE LEADER: WAYNES JOHNS

He is an Official Fujifilm Ambassador and Arri lighting Ambassador, giving live Fashion & Beauty workshops and training courses around the world. Wayne has a very fun and relaxed attitude on set and likes to explain technical details with a very simple approach.
His mastery of technique and attention to detail also see him as a respected director and means that Wayne is as in demand to teach his style and give workshops, as he is by commercial clients to create world-class images.
WHAT KIT DO YOU NEED?
Wayne mainly uses the XT3, GFX 50S & 50R medium format systems for all his commercial work. The imaging power of the medium format and lenses can be very relevant in his commercial workflow, especially now that mirrorless MF has become a much smaller system to shoot with. For that reason we will have GFX 50S and some GF Lenses available to use on the day. We will also include a FREE 16GB memory card for you to use and keep on the day. Be sure to bring your own memory cards too as GFX files are very large and you may run out of space!
